全能藝術家楊·法布爾(Jan Fabre),活躍於國際舞台,擁有無數精彩作品,本片藉由國際間藝術專業人員旁述,包含劇場評論家 Georges Banu、前亞維儂藝術節聯席總監 Vincent Baudriller、法布爾劇場建築師 Jan Dekeyser、法國版法布爾雜誌編輯 Rudolf Rach,與他們一同回顧藝術家楊·法布爾創作生涯以來的精采的作品,以及藝術創作的過程,隨著片中欣賞他雕刻、編舞、編劇、舞台設計甚至戲劇編導之才華,從影片中感受這位全能藝術家,充滿創意又挑釁文明與道德的獨特思想,和他對藝術所堅持的信念、藝術創作闡釋以及對生命的思維。

Jan Fabre,  a versatile artist,  is active on the  international stage and has many  artistic tours de force.  This documentary  comprehensively reviews Jan Fabre’s  chefs d’oeuvre  and the process of their creation by virtue of the narrations from established art practitioners including Georges  Banu (a theater critic), Vincent Baudriller (former joint director of Festival d’Avignon), Jan Dekeyser (the architect of Fabre Theater), and Rudolf Rach (the editor of Fabre magazine, French version).  This documentary is designed to reflect Fabre’s  remarkable talent for sculpture, choreography, dramaturgy, as well as stage design and directing,  through which the audience may grasp the artist’s  creative ideology,  a set of ideas that are truly novel and provocative in terms of civilization and morality. The artist’s belief about art, his view of life, and his interpretation on artworks are also revealed in this film.

楊・法布爾(Jan Fabre)為國際知名的鬼才前衛藝術家, 出生於比利時安
特衛普,畢業於安特衛普皇家美術及裝飾學校;擅長美術、舞蹈、戲劇編導等,1970年代便以行動藝術聞名。其藝術風格鮮明,帶有強烈的實驗性、旺盛的創作力;亦是,世界上首位獲邀至法國羅浮宮舉辦個人展覽的當代藝術家。

導演朱利奧·伯托 (Giulio Boato),1988年生於義大利威尼斯。專精於視覺與表演藝術、表演研究,目前正在巴黎大三大學攻讀表演研究博士學位。2013年,他開始從事劇本寫作以及導演的工作;2015年,紀錄片《超 越藝術家》為其第一部影像作品。

堪稱美國天才偽畫大師的馬克・蘭迪斯(Mark Landis),作品豐富多元,涵蓋了多種繪畫風格與時期。從畢卡索、席涅克等古典大師作品,到史奴比之父查爾斯舒茲,甚至是華特迪士尼等現代漫畫家的畫作,都能複製的維妙維肖。蘭迪斯與眾不同的地方在於,就算他的作品能在市面上以高價出售,但他卻從不將其作為利益出售。 蘭迪斯冒名頂替,化身成各種不同的捐贈者,將作品捐給各大博物館 ,只為了能讓自己的心血能在各大美術館展出。 然而,蘭迪斯以假亂真的行徑,被辛辛那提美術館的登錄員馬修·賴寧揭穿了,某日,馬修發現同一幅作品竟在全美近46所美術館展出收藏,總共展出了近一百多幅他的偽畫後,決心揭發這起藝術界的醜聞,聯邦調查局對此展開調查,外界也開始掀起要他停手的風浪,一場貓追老鼠的藝術鬧劇就此展開。

Mark Landis has been called a genius painter in U.S. history on account of his prolific career and extraordinary ability in forging paintings that cover a wide range of styles and periods. These forged works are barely distinguishable from genuine articles, be they the masterpieces by classical painters such as Picasso and Signac or the comic sketches by contemporary cartoonists such as Charles Schulz (creator of the comic strip Peanuts) and Walt Disney. Different from other art forgers, Landis has never plan to sell these copies even though they may fetch impressive sums on the open market. Instead, he has donated these copies to major art museums across the U.S., expecting to get his cherished works exhibited. Posing as different types of donor, Landis carried “performing” arts to extremes. However, his counterfeiting act was debunked by Matthew Leininger, a collection registrar at the Cincinnati Art Museum, who discovered that Landis’ copies of the same piece of work was exhibited as commercial collection in nearly 46 American art museums. No sooner did Leininger found out that nearly 100 forged works by Landis are exhibited in American art museums, than the former decided to expose the latter’s escapades to the art world. Besides, not only the FBI is pursuing its investigations into this scandal, but also a chorus of museum professionals is clamoring for him to stop. The whole procedure has become a complete cat-and-mouse farce.

電影產業在這數十年間快速變遷,本片隨著繪畫電影看板師傅謝森山的視角,道出臺灣電影產業的更迭。片頭便以謝森山師傅在帆布上作畫做為開端,他在已打好圖稿的帆布上添色,全憑他老道的經驗與技術,繪出數幅充滿溫度的電影看板,無論是中西方電影明星、動畫人物等,他都可從他的畫筆上賦予作品生命,片中接著將畫面帶到謝森山師傅完成電影看板以後,便會與妻子一同前往「中源戲院」將電影看板協力吊至影院牆面上的景象。雖然,最終這項傳統技藝可能被時代的洪流淹沒,手繪的電影看板將被電腦輸出海報取代,但謝森山師傅一路以來的心路歷程,不僅用影像記錄保存,也記錄這令人讚嘆,同時也讓人惋惜的繪畫看板背後的故事。

The film industry in Taiwan has undergone rapid transition in the past decades. This documentary shows the vicissitudes of Taiwan’s film industry from the perspective of Hsieh Sen-Shan, an experienced movie billboard painter. The outset of the film features the scene in which Hsieh is coloring the sketch on the canvas. His extensive experience and superb skills always add a welcome touch of warmth to the movie billboards he painted. With deft brushstrokes he breathes life into the figures, be they movie stars or animation characters. Then the scene shifts to Chung-Yuan Theater where Hsieh and his wife collaboratively hang the finished movie billboards on the façade. Hsieh’s craft is on the verge of extinction and hand-painted movie billboards will be eventually replaced by computer-printed posters. Nevertheless, this documentary records not only Hsieh’s mental process as a movie billboard painter but also his life story behind these awe-inspiring yet lamented movie billboards.

謝森山,出生於1946年,自15歲開始習畫,以一手、一筆繪畫將近半個世紀,現年約70歲的謝森山師傅,畫過的電影看板不知凡幾,全盛時期甚至曾一口氣接下7間戲院的首映電影看板。2014年曾舉辦看板特展「匠心獨蘊─謝森山手繪電影看板個展」。

導演江宗傑,出生於中壢,畢業於世新大學廣電系電影組,現為影像工作者。電影短片作品《門》曾獲2012年廣島Damah電影節「審查員特別賞」、《心碎秘方》獲2013年廣島Damah電影節「觀眾票選獎」、2014年日本富山水邊電影節首獎及2015日本藝術中心映像大獎首獎,近期作品《油車口》。

來自越南的安妮,從小就渴望成為越南歌仔戲明星,卻陰錯陽差成為了越南國家馬戲團明星。因緣分嫁給了嘉義新麗美歌仔戲班的團長,意外繼續她兒時的夢想。她花了無數的時間學習陌生的語言,終能站上舞台演出歌仔戲,成為劇班裡的當家花旦。然而,歌仔戲演出環境今時不比往日,隨著環境的更替逐漸沒落,戲棚下站著的人卻不似舊日時光,寥寥可數。戲班未來命運未知,安妮的命運跌宕,帶著自己發展遲緩的女兒扛起現實的重擔,在每個廟口漂泊演出。本片隨著安妮以及新麗美歌仔戲班,看見外籍配偶的艱辛,臺灣以及越南歌仔戲藝術的困境,道出小人物的戲台人生。即使沒有掌聲,沒有收入,歌仔戲仍不間斷,只為將每次演出呈現給永遠的觀眾——神。本片入圍第38屆金穗獎。

Coming from Vietnam, Annie has aspired to be a star of Vietnamese opera since her tender age, but turned out to be a star in the National Circus of Vietnam after grown up. Feeling strong affinity, she’s married to the leader of the Chiayi-based Shin-Li-Mei Taiwanese Opera Troupe, and may continue to pursue her childhood dream of being an opera star. She spent considerable time learning the new language and finally made herself the female lead in the troupe. However, Taiwanese opera is no longer as popular as it was previously. The declining number of audience portends an uncertain future of the troupe. In order to raise her daughter who suffers developmental delay, Annie has no choice but to shoulder the heavy burden of her real life, drifting from one temple to another where she is allowed to deliver her performance. Following the courses of Annie and Shin-Li-Mei Taiwanese Opera Troupe, this documentary illustrates not only the difficulties that foreign spouses encounter but also the predicaments that Taiwanese and Vietnamese operas face, thereby depicting the hardships of a nobody’s life on stage. The troupe has been willing to perform even without any applause or income, because each of its performances is dedicated to God, the troupe’s eternal audience. This documentary was nominated for the 38th Golden Harvest Awards.

安妮,來自越南清化,曾為越南國家馬戲團成員,隨馬戲團於各地演出,現為嘉義縣新麗美歌仔戲班當家花旦。

導演簡介

導演賴麗君,現為自由影像工作者,著迷於地方文化和傳統戲曲,2002年曾為公共電視拍攝台灣地方誌紀錄片《山腳下的四庄番》,2013年回到自己的家鄉嘉義,拍攝新住民紀錄片,意外認識當地戲班當家花旦安妮,開始籌備《神戲》紀錄片拍攝。

導演彭家如,投身於紀錄片和電影創作多年,曾在楊德昌電影《牯嶺街少年殺人事件》擔任美術製作,也曾赴紐約視覺藝術學校修習電影製作,回國後成為自由編導,也為電影、電視擔任攝影師。

林婉玉導演歷經兩年的拍攝時間,於2015年完成紀錄片《舞蹈旅行計畫-島中央》。該片拍攝舞蹈家周書毅與舞者們,以舞蹈旅行計畫作為故事主軸,於每年夏天穿著色彩繽紛的舞衣,在中臺灣——彰化、南投、雲林三個城市裡以充滿渲染力的現代舞蹈,面對面、近距離地向觀眾盡情展現他們迷人的舞姿,無論是在火車站、老街巷弄中、廟前廣場、文化古蹟前等,都可以看到那群為了分享舞蹈的美好而展現舞姿的舞者們,影片隨著旅行計畫,歷經三週的密集排練與表演,以不搭台、不架燈的形式,有別於一般舞蹈表演位於展演舞台上的表現形式,在無限寬廣的空間,不局限自我,以舞蹈代替語言傳達個人的溫度及豐富的情感。

After two years of filming, director Lin Wan-Yu completed the documentary Dance-Travel Project - In the Middle of the Island in 2015. Revolving around the  plot  of  this project,  this documentary  features  choreographer Chou Su-Yi and his fellow dancers who wore colorful costumes and danced on the streets of central-Taiwan cities (Changhwa, Nantou and Yulin) in the summers of the past two years. To convey the beauty of dance, they showed their charming, infectious dancing  postures to the audience in a  face-to-face  manner around the railway stations, old streets, temple squares and historical sites  of  these  cities.  This  documentary  presents  their  three-week  intensive  rehearsals  and  their  touring  performance  delivered without a stage and  lighting, an  approach  radically  distinct from the common form of dance performance. In the free, wide-open spaces of central Taiwan, they relied
less on spoken language than on lively dance to exude their personal warmth and deep sentiments.

周書毅,為編舞家兼舞者。創作型態跨越舞蹈、劇場、建築空間、影像與身體的合作。致力於表演藝術,啟動《舞蹈旅行計畫》,持續以做公益的方式,把舞步跨進任何可能和曾經不可能的日常角落。

林婉玉,現為獨立影像工作者,從事紀錄片、影像設計等相關工作。林婉玉特別關注劇場工作及聲音表演藝術文化,作品多以探討不同的生命價值為題材。2006年拍攝第一部紀錄片《樂生活》,講述樂生療養院的故事。近期紀錄片作品包含2015年《台北抽搐》、2013年《記憶空的記憶》。
